New Moon in Aries
March 24, 2020

“Am I choosing to feel like a bird in a cage or a bird in a cozy nest right now? Am I channeling positive fiery energy that can warm a campsite and build new things or am I unconsciously creating a blaze that can burn down a house?”

On 3/24, while many of us sit housebound, we collectively experienced the arrival of the New Moon in Aries. Aries is the first sign in the zodiac and coincides with the arrival of Spring!

Not coincidentally, we celebrated the Spring Equinox just a few days prior, which is the official marker for the start of the Spring season. The timing makes our New Moon especially potent for intention setting for this season and year ahead. Covid has dominated the news and our mind space, and the New Moon and Equinox allow us to shift our focus to a state of beauty and positivity: now is the time for new life and new beginnings! Mother Earth begins to wake up and, at least in NYC where I am currently based, daffodils have begun to bloom and birds are singing!

How have you been feeling these past days?

Life ebbs and flows - but we seem to only share the highlights of our days on social media. Stop comparing your reality with the unachievable “happiness” that you see on WeChat moments, Facebook, Instagram, or other social platforms. Stoping comparing yourself with celebrities and Instagram stars.

Do what you truly want to do instead of what will look good to others on social media. Follow your heart and it will lead you to yourself.

Try to stay off social media for one week - don’t check the updates and start to make space and time to live and to be, as you.

I personally have experienced quite a bit of discomfort during the New Moon. Fiery Aries has called me to GO GO GO! My emotions have run wild while I remain housebound. I am SO grateful for my once-a-day walks for fresh air. During these moments I am present to the sounds of the birds and have asked myself: “Am I choosing to feel like a bird in a cage or a bird in a cozy nest right now? Am I channeling positive fiery energy that can warm a campsite and build new things or am I unconsciously creating a blaze that can burn down a house?”

During this New Moon time we receive the invitation to not only set intentions for what we desire but for how we can be of service. Now more than ever we are called to be leaders and to care for our communities. In the coming weeks, stay tuned for postings I am working on with guided meditations, tips for immunity + recovery and more. If I can support you personally in any way don’t hesitate to reach out.

Sending you prayers for health, positivity and presence!

Love, Lizzy
